Legal Aid Attorney Guide to Collecting Attorney Fees in Consumer Cases

The Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network Housing and Consumer Law Groups are hosting a CLE training program entitled Legal Aid Attorney Guide to Collecting Attorney Fees in Consumer Cases. The program was originally presented in Philadelphia on November 22 and will be presented in Pittsburgh on December 3 and in Harrisburg on December 8.

The program is intended to provide instruction on where attorney fees might be available and how to recover those fees. This is especially relevant since LSC-funded programs are again permitted to recover such fees. The program will also cover some consumer law fundamentals in the topics outlined below in the Tentative Program listing.

The chief presenter for the program is Cary Flitter, an attorney in private practice who specializes in representing consumers in consumer law issues in both individual and class actions.

Mr. Flitter is on the adjunct faculty at Widener University School of Law and Temple University Beasley School of Law. He is one of the principal authors of Pennsylvania Consumer Law (Carolyn Carter, editor) and is a contributor to NCLC's Consumer Class Actions (5th ed.). He has also served on the board of the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA).
